8th Grade Math - Coach Breen

Welcome to SVMS - 8th Grade Math!

I am excited to begin this year with each of you and to guide you as we develop strong problem‐solving skills that will serve you well in mathematics and beyond. In our classroom, students are expected to give their best effort every day, participate actively, and ask questions whenever they need clarification.

Supplies You’ll Need:

• 1.5 or 2 inch three‐ring binder

• Pack of dividers

• Writing utensils (pencils preferred)

We will be using graphing calculators in class. A class set of TI‐Nspire CX II calculators will be provided for use during lessons. For work at home, you may access a free online calculator at Desmos.com.

Staying Organized & Informed:
All daily notes, assignments, links to extra practice, and other helpful resources will be posted in Google Classroom. Students are encouraged to check it daily to stay on track and prepared.

Tutoring Information:

Tutoring is available by appointment, as my schedule varies daily due to coaching responsibilities. If a student needs tutoring, I will work with them to find a time that is convenient for both of us.
